Printed wrappers; inner hinge cracked at pages 178-179, wrappers toned, chips and nicks to the extremities of the covers, the first few pages are dog-eared at the bottom edge. Good. The substance of this article is in the specimen sheet. It is based on printed sheets in a portfolio at the Plantin-Moretus Museum in Antwerp labelled Varia II, which Carter portrays as "by far the best specimen of Plantin's collection of types."
